Sara Thaler, Founder & Gardener
For over a decade, I've immersed myself in the world of gardening-- learning by getting my hands dirty. While my bachelor's degree in Environmental Design from the University of Minnesota provided a solid foundation, the hands-on experience has truly shaped my expertise and passion.
I started my gardening business with two key goals in mind: first, to move away from conventional gardening methods that rely on chemical sprays, and second, to fully embrace my creativity and aesthetic sense.
As I considered starting a family, I realized I no longer wanted to work around harmful pesticides and herbicides. This made me think, who does? Our natural surroundings promote well-being, and I am committed to nurturing that, not detracting from it.
This commitment led me to consider how one might maintain aesthetic appeal without compromising environmental integrity.
Thus, Sprouted Fern was established.
